§ 1 General
This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy with details on cookies and similar technologies on toleah.com / toleah.de.
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. The term also covers similar technologies such as Local Storage, Session Storage, Pixel Tags, IndexedDB.
Legal basis is Section 25 TTDSG: consent required by default (para. 1); exception for strictly necessary cookies (para. 2 No. 2).
§ 2 Current state on toleah.com / toleah.de
We currently do not set any consent-required cookies or comparable technologies. That is why there is no consent banner — this is permitted under Section 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG as long as only strictly necessary storage operations take place.
§ 3 Storage technologies in use
3.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
Legal basis: Section 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG + Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

toleah-theme(Local Storage) — stores your light/dark-mode preference so the appearance remains consistent on your next visit. No tracking, no transfer to third parties.
No cookies are set — neither server-side (HTTP cookies) nor via third
parties. We use only localStorage for the theme preference.
3.2 Functional, Analytics, Marketing
Currently not active. We use neither web-analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, etc.) nor marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, etc.) nor cookie-based bot management (e.g. Cloudflare). On the server, only Vercel's own access logs are kept, without personal identifiers.
Should optional cookies or trackers be introduced in the future (e.g. a privacy-friendly analytics tool with EU-hosting), a consent banner will be added beforehand and this Cookie Policy updated. Existing consent never applies retroactively.
§ 4 Browser settings
You can clear localStorage at any time in your browser (Chrome: Settings →
Privacy & Security → Clear browsing data; Firefox/Safari/Edge analogous). The theme
preference will then reset to system default.
§ 5 Do-Not-Track signal
Since we use no analytics or marketing technologies, the DNT signal currently has no decision impact. Once optional trackers are introduced we will respect DNT — even if consent was previously granted.
§ 6 Changes
Changes are published here. Material changes (e.g. new consent-required cookies) require a consent banner to be added beforehand and consent to be actively obtained.
